He then received a master's degree in physician assistant studies from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska. Grant wanted to go into the medical profession because when his grandmother was diagnosed with dementia, he was fascinated with the disease and wanted to learn more about managing the disease.

Some of Grant’s clinical interests include geriatric care/family medicine, wilderness medicine, sports medicine and chronic disease management.
